Since 2002 he has been a co-founder and a director of Dialogue Dance School and Company in Kostroma. Since the company foundation he works as a performance choreographer, a co-author and an artist. Dialogue Dance Company has created more than 30 performances, 3 of which have become laureates for the best contemporary dance performance of Theatre National Award "Golden Mask"
Ivan Estegneev was a scholar and a participant of the International Residency of American Dance Festival (USA) in 2008 and 2009. He is an artistic Director of International Festival of Contemporary Dance Duets "Diversia" and STANTSIA art-venue. He has been working in the duet with Anna Abalikhina since 2008 — Stab with a Knife, Living Room, Sleeping Beauty.
His collaboration with artists from South Africa resulted in 3 performances with FATC company specially for FNB Dance Umbrella Festival. He graduated from the School of Theater Leaders in Moscow in 2014.
In recent years he has been working with Russian directors in different drama theaters such as Gogol Center, Theatre of the Nations, Meyerhold Center, etc. Since 2016 he collaborates with Polish director Gzegorsh Jazhina in the productions in Poland, Russia and China. In 2016 he started teaching camera and stage movement to the actors in the Moscow Cinema School. In 2018 he co-founded Dialog Lab physical theater which has activities not only for professionals but for amateurs as well.
